EU Missions
Register on the EuropeAid roster
- Your Roster entry should be as complete and up-to-date as possible. If you are shortlisted by ERIS the EU team will use only your Roster entry to make their final decisions.
- Your availability should accord to the time period required, particularly for NEEDS core team trainings where a minimum of 6 weeks’ availability is needed.
- If you have dual citizenship please make sure that the UK is shown as your first or additional citizenship. Your entry cannot be accessed if this is not completed.
Submit Expression of Interest to ERIS
Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) to eueom@eris.org.uk
Applications made over the phone will not be considered. Applicants must:
- Certify their availability for the entire deployment period;
- Certify that they are medically fit to endure physically strenuous situations;
- Provide a single paragraph motivation statement detailing their specific experience relevant to the mission they are applying for. Please bear in mind the selection criteria in preparing this statement.
Selection Process
ERIS will review all applications according to the EU selection criteria and will then provide a shortlist of the required number of candidates to the EU, from which a smaller final list will be created.
Please note that the EU retains final control over observer selection. Shortlisting does not guarantee selection. ERIS will select observers only from those who provide a full EoI. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications, it is not possible to contact unsuccessful candidates individually.
