ERIS supports first set of global standards for citizen election observation at UN, New York

April 2012

ERIS was present at the UN in New York on 3 April for the launch of the first global standards for citizen election observation.

ERIS was one of the first international democracy assistance non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to endorse these principles when the pre-launch document was first released in 2010. The launch constituted a declaration of principles and code of conduct developed by citizen election monitors from around the world.
