ERIS Conducts Tunisia Election Complaints Roundtable

October 2011

On 17 October, ERIS organised a roundtable together with the Tunisian Administrative Court to discuss its role in the adjudication of complaints related to election results.

The one-day session was implemented in partnership with the Venice Commission, and provided an opportunity prior to the 23 October Constituent Assembly elections for magistrates to discuss with three prominent European experts the sensitive issue of reviewing complaints on election results after election day.

The roundtable was funded by the European Union as part of its broader Electoral Assistance to Tunisia project, with additional support from the Venice Commission.
