Candidate’s profile;
• Demonstrable interest in democracy
• Excellent communication skills in English - particularly writing and editing – and familiarity with promotional, design and print requirements
• Good organizational self-management and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word)
• Attention to detail and strong self-motivation.
Hours: Preferably 35hours a week, but part time is an option for a strong candidate. Location: ERIS Offices in Southwark, London.
Travel expenses (within the London area) will be covered and £10 per day will be provided for meals.
Accommodation is not provided.

Terms of Internship
The internship is for a period of 3 months starting in June 2012 with a probation period of one month. The intern will join our team in our London office and is expected to work 5 days per week. Standard working hours for interns are 10.00 to 16.00.
The internship is unpaid. However, ERIS will cover the cost of transport within London as well as providing a food allowance of £10 per day. The Internship does not include any travel outside the UK.

ERIS is looking for a Programme Officer to join its core team in London and support our work in North Africa. We have an on-going presence in Tunisia and within the next few months we are due to start projects in Libya, Egypt and Algeria, with a further project in Morocco due to start in early 2013.
2. Terms of Employment:·
Hours per week: 35 (full time)
Duration: At least 12 months (3 month probation period).
Salary range: £20,000-£23,000 plus pension, with some flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
Supervisor: ERIS Programme Manager
3. Responsibilities
The position may include (but does not guarantee) limited travel for project set-up and monitoring activities. Please note that as the focus is on North Africa we are looking for an Arabic speaker.
